§ 26-59. Bullet and knife wound reports.

  • All physicians in the county are required to report to the sheriff's department all patients treated by physicians or diagnosed or known to be suffering from the result of a bullet wound or knife wound. Such report may be made in writing, by telephone or in person, giving the name of the reporting person and the patient and any other pertinent data requested by the sheriff's department. All reports shall be made within 24 hours after treatment by a physician.
