§ 8-74. Taking; selling; impounding of owned animals.

  • It shall be unlawful for any person to take, steal, lure, or deliberately releases a domestic animal off the property of the owner without permission of the owner. A law enforcement officer, an animal control officer, or the animal control manager or his or her designee who takes an animal while performing his duties as defined by this chapter shall not be in violation of this section.
