§ 1. [Established.]

There shall be a board of commissioners of Jackson County to be elected and organized as provided for in this act [article]. The board of commissioners shall constitute the governing authority of Jackson County and shall exercise the powers, duties and responsibilities vested in and upon said officers by the provisions of this act [article]. The term "board," whenever used in this act [article], shall mean the board of commissioners of Jackson County, including the chairperson and all members.
